Fabio Natali
And now some live-tooting from "Invisible Work, Critical Code – The Role of Maintainers in Open Source Digital Infrastructure", a session led by the Sovereign Tech Agency. Examples of public infrastructure: electric grids, railways, roads and bridges, and... sewers! And now for a provocative metaphor: "Open Source is a sewer". Let's see where this leads us! #UNOpenSourceWeek #UNOSW

Powen Shiah
Sharing and talking about Germany's work in this area is particularly exciting. Through the Sovereign Tech Agency, we’re paving a way for how governments can invest in open digital infrastructure, and therefore in #OpenSource in the public interest. That means investing in people, strengthening what already works, and preparing the next generation of contributors and maintainers.

The components that form open digital infrastructure is de facto global and shared. That's why coming together at the United Nations makes sense, with voices from around the world. This week is a great moment to connect with others who care about the digital commons, open infrastructure, and our shared responsibility for the future.
#UNOSW #UNOpenSourceWeek
2/2
