Internet down. #qgis works, #ArcGISPro does not. @altbot

I installed #ArcGISPro on a brand new Dell PC with 64 GB of RAM. I open Pro and go to add an existing FGDB from a network location. Pro starts indexing. Keeps going for over an hour. The network location is accessible from the new PC.

Is this normal? @altbot

If rasters don't have attribute tables, then how the hell is "extract by attributes" a raster tool? I'm confused.

Does #ArcGISPro have an equivalent to GDAL's rgb2pct.py?

This is trivial in QGIS, but I'm trying to help someone using ArcGIS Pro who needs to convert an RGB-encoded landcover dataset into simple byte values.

(Why this 10-class landcover data is distributed as gigantic uncompressed 3-band RGB is a whole other question...)

YES I rock! I figured out clipping contour layers in #ArcGISPro!

It strikes me as slightly outrageous that it's so difficult to clip a rectangular subset of a contour layer in #ArcGISPro

Any advice on how to do this would be appreciated. Google/duckduckgo are useless and I prefer not watching videos #GIS GISchat
