I take very few pictures with a short focal length (around 60mm here) because it's so hard to decide what should be included in the frame. I find it much easier to use a long focal length to isolate individual subjects—hence so many minimalist images—than to incorporate many elements into a composition I like with a short focal length. This time it was a bit easier because there were no elements that didn't belong in the shot. I still need to get used to the chaotic branches, though. :-)

The trees and their branches occupy almost the entire right, left, and upper two-thirds of the image. The road is visible only in the lower quarter of the image.
