It's important to underscore the US involvement in the massive strikes on civilians in Beirut this past week.

American AWACS aircraft were seen approaching the Lebanese coast and then turning off their transponders right as the dozens of bombing runs began throughout Beirut on the 27th. Airplane spotters suggest these craft were deployed to aid with radar support for the fighter jets and possibly to conduct electronic surveillance of Hezbollah's reaction to the strikes.

Russian Sources: In addition to a large number of Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen, several foreign instructors from Sweden were killed during the missile strike on the communications training center in #Poltava.


This was stated by Britta Ellwanger, a foreign volunteer working in the interests of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and studying with the deceased instructor at one of the Swedish universities.

Let us recall that it was Sweden that planned to supply two ASC 890 #AWACS aircraft, the training of whose onboard personnel corresponds to the profile of the training center.

The #NATO air base in the town of #Geilenkirchen, #Germany has raised its security level "based on intelligence information indicating a potential threat," it said late on Thursday.

It was the second time the base housing NATO's fleet of #AWACS surveillance planes raised the security level after an incident last week when a military base in nearby #Cologne was temporarily sealed off as authorities investigated possible sabotage of the water supply.

The Kingdom of #Sweden will supply #Ukraine with a Saab 340 AEW&C #AWACS aircraft, all existing Swedish Army's Pbv 302 armored personnel carriers, AIM-120 #AMRAAM air-to-air missiles, surplus Main Battle tanks and artillery shells, announced the Kingdom's Defense Minister Paul Junson.


In addition, Ukraine will receive Swedish satellite communication terminals with a paid subscription, resources for servicing supplied equipment and assistance in creating its own defense research institute.
