I feel so lucky. This is my office, and this is my view. Banff is a jewel of the Rockies. I'm on the side of Tunnel Mountain, thusly named because once upon a time, engineers considered putting a tunnel through it. That never happened, but the name stuck. Indigenous folks and allies are trying to get it renamed to Sacred Buffalo Guardian Mountain because that's what it looks like, and it's far more fitting.

This is my corner office, and that's the view from my windows. I'm currently working on my suburban gothic novella (think The Yellow Wallpaper by way of Cronenberg). #Banff #BanffNationalPark #mountains #WritingCommunity

Moraine Lake

This serene lake is a Canadian gem. I have never in my life seen water with such a deep turquoise colored water
The lake is surrounded by dense pine forests and rugged mountain peaks. Snow-capped summits rise into a partly cloudy sky, casting shadows over the valley.

Moraine Lake This beautiful lake is located in Banff National Park in Beautiful Alberta Canada. The foreground has the tops of some tall evergreen trees framing the lower area of the picture. Moraine Lake is the main focus point in this image. This long and narrow lake sits between mountains high in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The lake has a beautiful deep turquoise color that shows of nicely as the sun shine through the clouds above. The mountains on the left are rocky, steep and rugged. The mountains on the left reach the lake at a far less angle and are covered in pine trees right up to the waters edge.

This image was captured above Johnston Canyon and the Ink Pots in Banff National Park.
Johnston Creek runs through this beautiful mountain meadow.
Evergreens grow tall on both sides of the turquoise colored Johnston Creek.
The purple Canadian Rockies rise up in the background with several rocky, pointy peaks rising above the valley.

Canadian Rockies Hiking above Johnston Canyon in Banff National Park. We made it past the ink pots and followed Johnston Creek. Johnston Creek, pictured here front center of the image flows through this amazingly beautiful valley with crystal clear turquoise colored water. The creek tumbles over many river rocks in this image. The creek is framed on both sides with low bushes in the foreground giving way to taller pine trees creating a dense forest. The beautiful Canadian Rocky Mountains come into view as you follow the upper right of the image across the top.

Johnston Canyon Upper Falls

This powerful waterfall cascades down a rugged cliff into a turquoise pool below. Located in Banff National Park, Johnston Canyon is one of the most traveled hikes in the park. This beautiful stream that originates in the Canadian Rockies flows though Johnston Canyon and drops through two falls and numerous cascades.pixels.com/featured/johnston-c

Johnston Canyon Upper Falls This is an image of the Upper Falls of Johnston Canyon located in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The waterfall is framed by shear rocky cliffs with various earthtone colors from gray to brown with spots of some green growth here and there. The waterfall drops straight down as well fanning out a little on the left hand side of the image. The collection pool at the bottom of the waterfall shows the crystal clear turquoise water that the area is known for.
