Rolling out the green carpet for #Doorsday!

On Sunday, I took my bike and explored some districts in the south of #Magdeburg. In #Westerhüsen, I found some #urbanDecay, but also rural vibes, understated street art, colourful houses, and a lot of nature. This #door caught my eye immediately. I don't know what the #building used to be – maybe a #post office, with the #postBox and yellow details?

Here's a little water tower in #Bitterfeld which is just as surprised as I am that my train is running into delays of 90 minutes (and counting).

A ground-level, medium shot features a weathered, octagonal brick tower under a cloudy sky. The tower is constructed from yellow-brown bricks and shows signs of age and disrepair, with some missing bricks and areas of crumbling mortar. It has several arched openings, some of which are boarded up or filled with dark vegetation, while others are empty. Small, rectangular windows are also visible higher up the structure.
The top of the tower is crenellated, with unevenly spaced battlements. Graffiti in blue and green is visible on one of the lower sections of the tower. The tower is situated on a patch of green grass and weeds, adjacent to a grey asphalt road in the foreground.
Bare trees with spindly branches stand on either side of the tower. In the background, glimpses of houses and other vegetation are visible under a sky filled with grey and white clouds, hinting at overcast weather conditions.

C’est un détail rigolo de Het Schip, l’ensemble d’habitation École d’Amsterdam emblématique, achevé en 1919 et signé Michel de Klerk : une espèce d’avancée bombée à l’angle Hembrugstraat-Zaanstraat, unique en son genre sur le pâté de maison et plutôt inattendue. Septembre 2019.
