"As workers brace for uncertainty and fallout from #Trump’s #tariffs, we hear from two #autoworkers, one in #Mexico and one in the United States. Israel Cervantes, founder of the National Independent Union for Workers in the Automotive Industry in Mexico, calls for unions across #NorthAmerica to unite against the tariffs, which have already led to layoffs from auto manufacturers. In the U.S., autoworker and UAW member Sean Crawford joins Democracy Now! on his work break to respond to the rhetoric and impact of the tariffs. 'They are always harping on foreigners, foreigners, foreigners. But what about the #capitalists? says Crawford, who urges international solidarity against #corporations’ attempts to sow division among #exploited #workers. “This nationalistic viewpoint has not been working for us and has resulted in a lot of these layoffs,' he says. 'I want to see us grow together as a #WorkingClass.'"

Dow, down 2% today, 5.5% in the last month, it was 8.8% lower a year ago. Another month+ at this rate: #BigHands will wipe out a year of #Dow growth.

Will #capitalists & #oligarchs (not the #broligarchs ) step in?

#nasdaq down 4% today alone, 11% over the last month, now only up 9 points in the last year. Less than a month more will wipe that.

#sp500 2.7%, 7.2%, now up only 9.7% over 12 months.

American capitalists: end that #fascism! Don't be a idiot.

@Geoffberner @hamishb @SnowshadowII @AlisonCreekside @KimberlyN Money is the root of all evil. #capitalists in the last 10-15 years tried to say that it’s undemocratic to support socialism and equated it to communism. Any further argument for socialist policies to protect the vulnerable was an attack on #democracy. What bs. This is why I fundamentally and unreservedly support #UBI. I think of it as our reversal from trickle down economics.

#tragedyofthecommons has always been BS by out of touch #capitalists because that's exactly what rich outsiders would do. The only people who use up finite resources are people who live outside the area, extract from it and don't have to live with the consequences. If it directly impacts you and you have shared ownership, most people will abide by and enforce the agreed upon rules. Its why colonialists are the most extractive and wreck areas while indigenous peoples are the best stewards of their lands when they are allowed to.

BCNDP can mark their days left in office if they continue to act like vagabond anti-woke BC Conservatives and trample the ideals of all their left wing voters.

Environmentalists are not the terrorists that gun toting #Diagonalists and #MapleMaga are, why does our BC NDP government continue to appease domestic terrorists while mocking our resolve to protect our majestic province as this earth continues it’s inevitable decline into chaos?

Exponentially increasing extraction is not the solution, for Pete’s sake. David Eby needs to wake up and see that he’s pissing all over those who have supported him.
