Tech war: founder of Chinese #semiconductor equipment maker AMEC renounces US citizenship

> In October 2022, new restrictions rolled out by the US Department of Commerce banned “US persons” from being involved in “the development or production” of chips at “certain China-located semiconductor fabrication facilities”

> Last year, two AMEC executives with US citizenship, Ni Tuqiang and Yang Wei, stepped down from their positions as “core technical personnel” archive.fo/2025.04.18-134925/h #China #chips

I need a momentary button switch (a reset button) that can solder into one of these through-hole pairs, more often used for jumper pins. I can't find any with simply through pins - such buttons always have the rounded fin connectors with an in-bored hole.

Anyone know where I can find such a button? Thanks.

A good read, which may explain why the US is so interested in Taiwan. They’re a decade ahead in chip manufacturing and have an incredibly skilled highly trained workforce.
Ah, I hear you say… Trump wants industry back in the USA, so why don’t the chip companies invest and build their factories in America?
Maybe they would… but a certain crazy right-wing American president has capped immigration so only a limited number of employees can come in.
