Winslow Homer's "In Came a Storm of Wind, Rain and Spray—and Portia" masterfully contrasts the tempest's chaos with a sheltered calm. The dynamic motion and intricate details invite viewers into the narrative. How does this scene resonate with your own experiences of nature's fury?

After running a bunch of errands last night, ended up at University Circle at sunset. I'll take it.
Beautiful night in #Cleveland last night. The West Side Market clock tower from our seat at the Market Avenue Wine Bar.
Just walk around the theatres in downtown #Cleveland and imagine it lost forever as a parking lot. Thankfully, a fellow working for the board of education at the time quit his job when he saw the opportunity to save it and managed to pull it off: https://teachingcleveland.org/ray-shepardson-the-man-who-relit-playhouse-square-by-john-vacha/

For many many years I've loved attending #Cleveland weeklong film festival. I'm embarrassed that since they moved to the theatre district, I hadn't attended. I don't like the move cuts it from 10 movies running all the time to 5, but it is a beautiful space... And enjoyed taking a day off with my loved one and camping out for the day.

This was a handheld 1/4s exposure with a 28mm Nikon lens attached to the Fringer NFtoGF adapter to my GFX100s-II. I had my tripod with me but didnt bother pulling it out because I wanted to see what I could get with just free hand. I currently only have the 80mm lens for the GFX, the next one I get for it will definitely be closer to 35mm. I used the 20-35 for the wedding i recently shot and it was pretty great. planning to rent the gfx 50 or 35 primes.
Twilight and blue hour have the best colors, and I can not be convinced otherwise.
Today in Labor History March 6, 1930: 100,000 people demonstrated for jobs in New York City. Demonstrations by unemployed workers, demanding unemployment insurance, occurred in virtually every major U.S. city. In New York, police attacked a crowd of 35,000. In Cleveland, 10,000 people battled police. In Detroit, the Communist Party organized an underemployment demonstration. Over 50,000 people showed up. Thousands took to the streets in Toledo, Flint and Pontiac. These demonstrations led to the creation of the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), sponsored by Republican congressman Hamilton Fish, with the support of the American Federation of Labor, to investigate and quash radical activities.
