I got tired of opening eBird for incidental birds I see from my window while I work on my laptop. So, I made an automatic logger for my command line, and added an Alfred extension so I could log in with a few keystrokes.

What are the editors available these days that *do not* use Chromium/Electron/Atom/etc?
On my system, in vscodium (and I tried zed too) there's a maddening bug where scroll-wheel events are accrued and when you switch-back to the editor, ZIP! you end-up at the bottom (mostly) of your code. 
It makes it totally impossible to use, hence looking for other editors.
I even tried gvim again, but it's just so painful to use!

Got a mail today, latest chapter of the complicated Dorley Hall series is out (https://archiveofourown.org/works/35394595/chapters/88223581) and that it was 40772 words long, this felt like a lot but I couldn't get Ao3 to spit out any stats on this. In the end between other things I knocked out a quick little script for printing the word counts then graphed it from there using goog sheets.
