KaySnapped from a moving car. I had the camera prepped at 1/500s with everything else on auto - motion blur, you won’t beat me this time! The plane had my attention first, but when the streetlamp curved into view, mirroring the contrail’s arc, I couldn’t resist. One quick shot, no time for second chances. Naturally, the autofocus decided this was the moment to contemplate a few seconds. KayI love clouds, who doesn’t. During my analog days, I took hundreds of pictures of them, and in the digital era, it's thousands. But it wasn’t until later that I learned clouds alone rarely make a picture. The red side of a sun dog always faces toward the sun, just like with a rainbow, except that in the case of a rainbow, the sun is far away on the opposite side of the sky, about 138°.
