wilfred<p>🗣️ REPAIRABILITY SHOULD BE A RIGHT</p><p>“The online repair site goes so far as to call the Pro 2 a “piss-poor excuse for a controller” for several different reasons. 👻 eboy (ectoplasm boy)<p>My <a href="https://post.lurk.org/tags/8BitDo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>8BitDo</span></a> <a href="https://post.lurk.org/tags/SN30Pro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SN30Pro</span></a> started drifting down on the left joystick about 2 weeks ago. I've had it for about 2 years, right before they came out with the ultimate software (which this model isn't compatible with) and at the time, I wasn't doing enough serious gaming to warrant a higher end device. In fact, I was compelled by the RPi compatibility. I'm going to do some maintenance (firmware refresh, check internals) and see if I can resolve it. The controller has put in a lot of good work and it serves most needs. It could be worth an upgrade, there's nothing special about 8BitDo joysticks compared to others, but I'm pretty sure I didn't choose to get the <a href="https://post.lurk.org/tags/hallEffect" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>hallEffect</span></a> ones which are designed to reduce (though arguably not able to eliminate) drift. Any device with joysticks (like the PSP) that's "travel sized" still don't make me less afraid of damaging joysticks when traveling. I'd consider passing it on to a friend curious about controllers. It's a great starter, especially for indie gamers. <br><a href="https://www.8bitdo.com/sn30-pro-g-classic-or-sn30-pro-sn/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">8bitdo.com/sn30-pro-g-classic-</span><span class="invisible">or-sn30-pro-sn/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://post.lurk.org/tags/controller" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>controller</span></a> <a href="https://post.lurk.org/tags/gaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gaming</span></a> <a href="https://post.lurk.org/tags/videoGames" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>videoGames</span></a></p>
