Day 23 🚫🙈🙉🙊

“Blocking the #GamblingAdReforms is the fourth known example of Albanese’s willingness to #overrule senior ministers such as #EnvironmentMinister Tanya Plibersek, #AttorneyGeneral Mark Dreyfus and assistant minister Andrew Leigh when they were tackling #controversial and #sensitive #policies.

The #PrimeMinister can always use the authority of his position to make the final call on all matters of policy. This masthead has already revealed that #Albanese has come over the top of Plibersek on #EnvironmentalProtection laws, Dreyfus on mandatory jail terms for hate crimes and antisemitism, and Leigh on sex and gender census questions.”

I’m going to be re-elected. 🙈🙉🙊

#Controversial addition:
The whole #HarryPotter series.

There are problematic things outside the works themselves, and some of the attitudes inside are not aging well.

But! It is about kids & some adults responding to the creeping and accelerating takeover of all the levers of power by murderous racist fascists amid a pervasive misinformation campaign and near-universal wishful thinking about what is going on and where things are headed.

Linux and it's arcane 'mounting' of storage devices is a big old pain in the arse! AND a real weakness from the point of view of an average PC user. Definitely one area where Windows is just massively simplified for mere mortals.

Yeah I get it's kinda part of the core filesystem schema and... BUT it sucks.

Still, it took decades for the 'CLI UPA' (User Prevention Authority 😂🖖) to begrudgingly accept that 99% of users are fine with mouse'n'menu... so maybe... one day... 🙏

Are class traitors equivalent or worse than race traitors?

Personally I'm a race-abolitionist but I know that some people are really only willing to work with people of their own race or ethnic designation. As for class traitors it's sadly all too common, it makes it difficult to be rightfully maddened, it's all too normalized for working class people to completely alter their personality to fit into bourgeois society.

(When I do these polls the options below do not reflect my opinions and I don't mean to offend anyone, I respect all living people of good spirit.)

Being #controversial and #opinionated here but ...well...here goes:

Why is it, in the #workplace, that younger people with fewer years #education and very little experience consider themselves to be more #competent than older people with an extensive education and decades of #experience?

In the past (when older people were younger) we respected the #knowledge of older people & what they could #teach us. We weren't #arrogant, #supercilious #egoists.

Did you know a #philosopher once fought with the #PetShopBoys?

#Conservative (& #controversial) philosopher Roger Scruton published a book called 'An Intelligent Person's Guide To Modern Culture' in 1998. In it, he alleged that the PSB songs were purely sound-engineered.

The PSB eventually settled out of court & Scruton, after getting in trouble again by writing pro-smoking essays sponsored by Big #Tabacco, moved to the US when the UK outlawed fox hunting in 2004.
