Miscellaneous crochet works from last year! Boy that feels like forever ago.

1. Testing out making clip purses with crochet, so no pattern for this one, just me making a lot of double crochet! This one used a 12-ply cotton twine from Lankava. I embroidered the crescent moon on it with some leftover yarn. I love this one, just seeing it makes me happy.
2. Decided to try out colourwork while I was at it. For some reason I didn't take pictures of the finished product but here you can see what it was going to be. 😆 I ended up making a card wallet for a friend, I think she was okay with it?
3. Finished version before folding it into a wallet. Freehanded the shape and made the pattern.
4. Balloon dog. Because balloon dog. I had a pattern for this, but I have no idea where I got it cause it doesn't say who made it on the pattern. 😅

While visiting with our daughters yesterday, the oldest was showing us her latest embroidery project. She made a set of ornaments for each item in the 12 days of Christmas song. Here are 4 pieces from the set. Zoom in on the image to get an idea of the incredible detail.

So, the only "sports" I follow are competitive cooking / baking, and now competitive making! Came across this gem late at night, and I love seeing folks make stuff! So far I watched episodes with competitive linocut printmaking, competitive glass blowing, and competitive costume design! Some wicked cool stuff!
