Cazimodo CreativeGood morning Fellow Travellers on the Galactic Spiral Arm 🌌 I'm settled with coffee in the recently heated living room watching the parrots munch breakfast and feeling sleepy and very cosy. Ziggy spent her out time this morning giving me fresh neck shingles with her painful preening, but then decided she was far too hungry to continue and demanded to be taken to her cage for breakfast. She has absolutely no patience and when she wants something the intensity and growing shrillness of her demands is quite something to hear. At one point she will even start going "uh uh uh!" in ever increasing volume, just like a toddler about to have a tantrum. They really are just like having permanent toddlers, parrots 😊 I received a nice certificate from the Scottish Air Ambulance (pictured) showing where my Dad's name is on the belly of their new helicopter. I think he would have been amused that I put him up there and probably joked about it - the Flying Scotsman or something 😊 Still no crochet orders yet, although I did get a query last night, the first in a good while now. It may turn into a sale, but for now I will just enjoy the freedom to game. I'm really into my single player BG3 campaign right now and I'll be joining Grognak again later for some more co-op chaos. Cazimodo CreativeGood morning everyone 🌻 Late one for me as Grant got up for the parrots (who were extremely raucous when he left to take his car for a service, but with determination I managed to fall asleep again 😂) and I was up far too late playing BG3. Now that I've rerolled my sorcereress and am playing her the way that feels right for her character, I'm having a whole lot of fun again. I've been gaming a bit much, but am enjoying the break from reality and just letting my mind go Elsewhere.I made my custom crochet order live again yesterday and I see people are starting to favourite it already, but it usually takes a few days before orders come in, so I'll probably be gaming today again I reckon. Either that or cleaning out some cupboards....I wonder which will win 😂 I also noticed a whole whack of new mods for DAO on the Nexus, so I will have to check those out. Cazimodo CreativeGood morning Fellow Travellers around the Sun 🌞 Late one for me today as Grant got up for the parrots and I was really late (9 PM) for me anyway to bed last night due to gaming 😊 I'm sitting with the parrots now, who have been nice and quiet all morning to allow me to sleep in, with coffee and classical music and having a lovely lazy morning generally. I tried to go on with my Act III BG3 campaign, but I couldn't change the decision I wanted to, and I kept getting annoyed, so deleted the whole thing and rolled my sorceress again. My Act I Bard will probably end up with the same outcome, but that's okay as it suits her personality. My sorceress is different though and I have to play my characters as I imagine them to be or it just rankles with me. It does make gaming cheap for me though ,as I play the same ones over and over all the time. Cazimodo CreativeGood morning you lovely lot 💕 I'm just up from a long lie, because, despite it being Monday, it's also Glasgow Fair so we have a day off today - yay! I celebrated by doing a little gaming last night. I had a real hankering to play some Dragon Age Origins again and so I did. It was brilliant 😊 I must have installed some mods I had forgotten about, because a couple of things happened that I have never encountered before. I will need to go and check my mod list and update the relevant post on my website once I figure it out. Anyway, great fun was had; it was like a night out with old friends. I am sitting with the parrots now enjoying their company and coffee. I may have to move in a moment though as Toby is screaming at me and making my ears bleed 😂More crochet today. I still have some work to do on the competition toy, but I need to finish off a paid order first. I definitely love the idea behind a <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/P2P" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#P2P</a> code forge and I'm hopeful for Radicle's future, but I do have some reservations starting off:1) Despite talking a lot about freedom and privacy in the tutorial, the group building Radicle (<a href="https://radworks.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank">https://radworks.org/</a>) is planning to sell hosting and make a profit via an Ethereum-based cryptocurrency (<a href="https://www.tally.xyz/gov/radworks" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank">https://www.tally.xyz/gov/radworks</a>) as well as NFTs and smart contracts. Some big Libertarian red flags there.2) At some point there was a Swiss nonprofit "Radicle Foundation", but this now seems to be a for-profit venture (see <a href="https://radicle.xyz/history" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank">https://radicle.xyz/history</a>). I wish it could just be a nonprofit.3) In the user guide chapter on private repos (<a href="https://radicle.xyz/guides/user" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank">https://radicle.xyz/guides/user</a>), it says that I need to use a public DNS address trusted seed node to share the repo. I understand there's no DHT here, but I hope it's not too much of a pain to run this over my local network instead of the internet. I'm always on my final, final campaign, definitely the last one 😁 While I have now started BG3, and am thoroughly enjoying it, it's reserved for the daylight hours, so I am still sneaking in an hour or two of DAO on those evenings when I have enough spoons available and still enjoying it thoroughly. Cazimodo CreativeSpent a good day in DAO yesterday in the Deep Roads. I took Wynn with me as far as I could, but I had to complete the Anvil of the Void without a mage, because I wanted to take Shale with me as I've never done that before, and of course you have to take Oghren past a certain point. My character is also a warrior and I needed Liliana for the traps and chests, so mage-less it was ( again 😊). All I can say is have loads of healing potions and injury kits if you do it like that and be prepared for slow tactical battles with lots of pausing in between. Highly satisfactory when you finally complete it though. Cazimodo CreativeI've been managing a sneaky hour of gaming before bed the last couple of nights as my energy levels have been pretty good of late. I need to do the Anvil of the Void in DAO and yes, I have ended up in the Deep Roads without a mage yet again 😂 so I am putting that off until I can spend proper time on it this weekend, and I started playing Pathfinder: Kingmaker instead just to see what it was like. The rules seem complicated, but I'm mostly just bumbling along happily without paying much attention to those and the dice roll gods have been kind. Cazimodo CreativeGood morning everyone 🌞 I've just finished the usual parrot cage cleaning, food prep and Ziggy cuddle and the Crew are all munching breakfast happily now. I think I have figured out Ziggy's refusal to take her meds mix with me in the morning. I was confused as to why Grant, who doesn't let her out in the morning, has no issue with it, while I did. Apparently, according to Ziggy, the rule is that sitting with Mum and eating her meds in the evening is fine, but meds must be delivered at the cage in the morning 😄 I took her over and she sat on the cage door and happily consumed the lot, whereas moments before she was nipping at me for offering it to her. Parrots eh? 🤔Gaming day today. Still playing my beloved DAO. We picked up Shale recently so may head to Orzammar and the Deep Roads today, or maybe the Forest first.
