ponI bought Doom 1 + 2 on Steam. Up until now I was using a wad file off the internet with gzdoom. 🤫Anyways the Steam version has a DOS version with it. In this version you can’t remap the controls and you walk and turn with the cursor keys, and strafe walk with < and >.You can also use the mouse. You’ll walk forward with mouse forward.It’s possible the get close to what today’s standard scheme is by putting your left hand on <, > and cursor up, but I wonder if people back then would have played like this. Or what the intended control scheme was. I played through episode 1 and ended up using the mouse for walking forwards a lot.
