Leider gibt es kein (kostenpflichtiges) Upgrade auf <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/NDI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#NDI</a>. Das wäre technisch sicher möglich, aber <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/zCam" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#zCam</a> möchte wohl lieber das Nachfolgermodell E2N verkaufen.Das HTTP-basierte Steuerprotokoll ist übrigens in GitHub… so gehört sich das. NielsoRigged up for… nothing.The <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/ZCamE2" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ZCamE2</a> is a really nice elderly <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/videoCamera" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#videoCamera</a> with a still very usable 4k output in <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/h265" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#h265</a> or <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/ProRes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ProRes</a> and just this week I discovered that its <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/zCamApp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#zCamApp</a> actually turns an elderly <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/iPad" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#iPad</a> (at least <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/IOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#IOS</a> 15 required) into a powerful monitor even with the option for false color display, RGB parade, focus peaking, touch-to-focus and whatnot.I just love the image from this camera.However, I don't have the muse for my own creative projects, actually decent film/video projects usually are huge… and my clients don't have no money no more for video.It's not that people wouldn't want to have videos anymore. It's just that they feel content with their smartphones' output all to soon, so who would pay this nerd to do a 4k cinema image for them, just for nobody to watch it on <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/YouTube" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#YouTube</a> because they didn't trigger the algorithm properly.Btw, this camera is also a <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/livestream" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#livestream</a> monster and I own two of its smaller siblings, the <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/E2C" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#E2C</a>. AaronI actually had someone reach out to me today about starting a company around some of my previous work on "explainable AI" -- machine learning that results in human-interpretable results, as opposed to the inscrutable tables of numbers that make up neural networks. This is pretty exciting stuff to me, because I've wanted to start a business along these lines for a long time. I also got to introduce someone to the concept of "exit to community", so +1 for social activism, too.
