A very nice "engineer's demonstration" with no understanding of the underlying mathematics. (e.g. a catenary isn't a parabola). Brilliant stuff!

Anakie Observatory: Turning an Empty Dome Into a Stargazing Beast
We rolled into Anakie with one mission: bring an empty dome to life.
In one chaotic day, we installed the telescope, tested it, made sure the dome’s roof actually opens (crucial), and even dug a hole to relocate the cloud sensor like true astro gremlins.
Now this beast is ready to stare deep into space and silently judge humanity.

"I think it’s quite feasible that many people probably would not have known they were in a flood-prone area."
New from Lise Olsen: A federally funded project at Rice University is trying to improve flood hazard detection and resilience in #Texas. Giant Liquid Mirrors Could Revolutionise the Hunt for Habitable Worlds https://www.universetoday.com/articles/giant-liquid-mirrors-could-revolutionise-the-hunt-for-habitable-worlds
We Installed a GIANT Space Dome on a Mountain!
We drove from Melbourne to Toowoomba… via Coonabarabran (because apparently we can’t help turning a dome install into a full-blown road trip).
Stopped in Coonabarabran for a site visit on a future project — then headed to Mt Kent Observatory to install a brand new 4m Scopedome.
There were telescopes, late nights, too many servo pies, and one absolutely massive dome. Just another casual week in astro-land.

We've been docked in #Getxo today where most people head into nearby Bilbao but we thought we'd see what was here today for a change on this #cruise. Lots of lovely architecture is the answer but it also has this engineering marvel, the Vizcaya Bridge (or Bizkaia). A large gondola is suspended from the high gantry and carries passengers and vehicles across the water in about 90 seconds. Fascinating to see in action.

Also, solidly in the category of "If you have to ask, you can't afford it."
Fine, fine, but I'd still like to know what something like that actually costs! So I can imagine a spot for it on my superyacht.
A side-by-side comparison of the same situation with ESC enabled vs. disabled. ESC (Electronic Stability Control) automatically applies the brakes to individual wheels to help steer the vehicle where the driver intends to go. In this case, it applies braking to the front-left wheel to counter oversteer.
