How to disable the Firefox smart tab bullshit

  1. Type about:config in URL bar and open it, accept risks
  2. Search browser.tabs.groups.smart.enabled
  3. Set it to false

As I am browsing through the settings in firefox I see the odd setting of using it's own DNS over https enabled. My settings should be copied over from the account I use and I know that I've **never** turned this setting on.

I'm now on the SBC Pi5 running MX Linux Pi respin.

My own dns config is perfectly fine and Im changing it back.

Why is the firefox team doing this? IS there any protective benifit from having this setting on?

Il existe une extension Firefox qui force la mise en cache des fonts, images, scripts et feuilles de style pour 6 mois.

I am surprised #Japan 🇯🇵 is forcing #Apple to allow alternative browser engines on #iPhone, #iPad & (maybe‽) #AppleWatch too.

However, I do not see much competition in the browser market nowadays. It is either WebKit (Safari), Blink (a fork of WebKit that Chromium is based on) or Gecko (for #FireFox).

firefox users of mastodon; is there any way to edit firefox autofill data for NON-PASSWORD / ADDRESS forms, ie anything else firefox tries to so helpfully autofill?

not to disable that feature, but to edit the data :blobhaj_thinking:

SOLVED: Had to edit the formhistory.sqlite file inside an sqlite editor and just copypaste another already existing entry that I knew of to make new ones, thank you all for the help - issue resolved - hope this toot helps someone else with this issue!
