Deus Figendi.jwd<p>Fascinating, sometimes json-files get broke, e.g if more but one process writes them or a process crashes during writing or something…</p><p>I found a way to fix this, jq seems to have a sane error correction so I do something like</p><p>cat original.json | jq . &gt; tempfile<br>mv original.json original.json.broke<br>mv tempfile original.json</p><p>and it's just fixed. C.<p>I did something today that I've been looking forward to for a while. I was a volunteer at the pop-up "Repair Cafe" in my city today! I was supposed to go to the last one, but I ended up in Saskatoon for a week with George's vet emergency and missed it.</p><p>My intended focus was electronics, but mostly ended up working on other things. The happiest person I dealt with came in near the end of the day with a DeWalt reciprocating saw that had the business end disassembled to extract a problem blade, and he had trouble reassembling it. Got it sorted out and he left, beaming. It felt really good helping people directly.</p><p>It's been years since I did much community volunteering; the last thing we used to do was in Saskatoon, and when we moved here, the local equivalent weren't very welcoming of our offers to volunteer here, so I've been looking for something in my wheelhouse for years. The repair cafe started here a few months back, and I'm glad for it. Colin Purrington<p>In case it might help somebody else, I managed to fix my EGO weed trimmer today. The automatic feed button wasn't sucking in the line, so I used a 1/2 socket to pop off the housing and found a piece of string and some dried stems clogging the gears.
