StrypeyIt's also a great example of why fragmenting the total pool of people using decentralised social networks across multiple protocols is such a regressive idea. The social web as a whole is growing apace. It seems like with Masto, someone could be tooting with the <a href="https://dmv.community/tags/vawx" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#vawx</a> hashtag but I won't be able to see this information because of <a href="https://dmv.community/tags/fediverse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#fediverse</a> <a href="https://dmv.community/tags/fragmentation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#fragmentation</a> ... I know you're saying it's a feature, not a bug, but that just is my point. Mastodon is not Twitter. ... So I'm grappling with adjusting my expectations and figuring out how to use Mastodon in a non-twitter way.
