Here is my work in progress automatic slide scanner project. There are several #freecad designed parts, some #blender modified parts, an #m5stack controller for my #legonxt motors. Next step is to setup my #canon mirror less camera and automatically scan and download the photos by python #gphoto2 to my #linux host and then process the raw files in #darktable.

Did anyone over tried and succeeded to compile a working version of #gphoto2 lib in #UbuntuTouch, #Mobian or #SailfishOS?

Doesn't matter on which exact device as long as USB OTG is supported. It's not about controlling internal #camera chipset. It's about controlling external cameras supported by libgphoto. Without stupid restrictions from naunfacturers "app" (OS, cloud BS, limited settings/supported depending on old vs new? entry-level vs high end…) and/or hardware intervallometers limitations

1. N'importe quel boîtier compatible #gphoto2, à partir de n'importe quelle machine GNU/Linux sans restrictions débiles (pas android, donc…). La SteamDeck n'est jamasi qu'un PC GNU/Linux déguisé en console portable

I made some cool software today for #canon wifi. So I got a 6D and obviously a Christmas party coming up. I wanted to marry them together using #photoprism . So the basic and only functionality is that I take a photo of my family, and within a few minutes they can browse the photos on the wifi #photoprismpi gallery using a #raspberry_pi as the party host. I set up the pi to use #gphoto2 with python to download any new images into the originals folder every 2min, and updates index every 5min.

Looking for an open source project to control Canon cameras over WiFi.

#Canon #cameras can be controlled through USB with #GPhoto2 but as far as I know there is no possibility to do the same via #WiFi.
Has anyone seen a project to do this or has anyone ever written to Canon if there is at least an API documentation?

En fait, j'ai toujours pas de retours des gens qui font de la #photo et qui utilisent des OS Libres pour savoir si leurs boîtiers causent correctement à #gphoto2 pour connaître le nombre de déclenchements
