Shortly after the aquisition of #Komoot by Italian #PrivateEquity firm #BendingSpoons about 80% of its staff has already been fired.

When logging into the account the main page does not show anymore the latest activities of the followed people... It may be a good idea to download all traveled and plannend #tracks as #GPX files on the #computer - just to be on the safe side.

Mon rêve : un soft qui lit les #GPX par dossier.

Si j'ouvre un dossier contenant plusieurs dossiers correspondant à un voyage,le choix d'un voyage me charge tous les GPX contenus sur une carte.

Soit une structure :
- voyages
- moto
- voyage 1
- voyage 2
- ...
- vélo
- voyage 1
- voyage 2

Si j'ouvre "voyages", je vois tous mes voyages sur la carte.
Si j'ouvre "vélo, je vois tous mes voyages en vélo.
Si j'ouvre "voyage 1" je ne vois que mon voyage.

I once again recommend to pull the *.GPX files from your fitness tracker and view them in blender!

Shown is a section of my bike bike commutes (and fun rides around town) form 2022 to today, spanning at least 6000km

You can use this add on I made for that purpose. Even if #b3d is switching to the new extensions platform! Just select "Install from disc..." and you're set.

Question !

J'ai une montre Garmin qui se charge d'enregistrer mes traces après mes sorties fussent t'elles en vélo, marche, paddle etc.
Jusque là elle envoyait en // les infos à Komoot, ce qui ne me sert à rien si ce n'est à archiver les traces (Garmin les efface au bout de 90 jours).

A priori Komoot est parti pour mal tourné suite à son rachat et il donc temps d'aller ailleurs.

Vous avez d'applis qui rendent ce service d'archive des traces en lien avec Garmin ?

#BendingSpoons is a #PrivateEquity firm. #Komoot #bike users should download their already ridden or planned #tracks as #GPX files as soon as possible before they have to pay a lot for them (or even to get a #map update). Better alternatives to Komoot: #Routing with #Brouter , #Cyclers , #VisuGPX or #Valhalla ; (free) navigation with #OrganicMaps or #CycleTravel . Everything else (photos, etc.) is anyway a #socialmedia feature.

Mon premier #50pasouf avec mon nouveau #vélo à ma taille. Depuis ~Orly pour un tour de la forêt de Sénart. Du bleu, un peu de vent, des fleurs, des arbres, la nature, les pitizoizo, la Seine, du single au bord de l'eau, du gras, les pieds dans la gadoue à en boucher les cales, et une côte de dingo pour remonter de la Seine sur le plateau à Juvisy 😱. Mais c'était trop bien ! 🤩☺️ Si vous voulez le #gpx... @emeline

Mein Workflow, wenn ich eine Strecke plane oder auf dem #Garmin haben möchte:

- #GPX erstellen (bevorzugt mit bikerouter.de, weil es gibt nichts besseres!)

- GPX Datei auf Garmin kopieren (#Cloud Sync von Garmin oder File-Sync am Desktop)

Fertig.

Wüsste gar nicht, wobei ich mit #Komoot einen Vorteil gehabt hätte, wenn ich die Plattform genutzt hätte, die mit dem Verkauf von #OSM-Karten Geld macht(e).

Ich bin heute auf der Suche nach …

… einem möglichst vollwertigen Ersatz für Garmins Basecamp.

Nachdem ich mittlerweile mit der Einkaufsliste / Bestandsverwaltung #Grocy (mstdn.mv2k.com/deck/@memo/1139) sehr zufrieden bin, ist die letzte #Software, die mich noch an #Windows bindet - #Basecamp (garmin.com/de-DE/software/base).

Sollte ich einen passenden Ersatz für #Linux finden, kann ich mich komplett von #Microsoft verabschieden 😀

Die Alternative sollte #GPX Dateien importieren und im Anschluss editieren ‼️ können, sowie möglichst #OpenStreeMap als #Kartenmaterial verwenden. Das Einbinden anderer Karten wie zum Beispiel der #OFM (OpenFietsMap openfietsmap.nl/) wäre ein nicht zu verachtender Bonuspunkt.

Zurzeit nutze ich die “Organic Maps Betaversion” (organicmaps.app/de/) und zum Bearbeiten den “Viking GPS data editor” (sourceforge.net/p/viking/wikia).

Das funktioniert (irgendwie) ist aber für den ständigen, oder schnellen Gebrauch nicht die Ideallösung ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
