1) Spouse chose a day at the #Zoo for Mother’s Day, which was lovely for everyone! (We actually tied the knot at the Zoo, so it’s special for us.)
2) 15yo wanted more than anything to go to the #Insect house. I love how cute she finds all the things with all the legs. (And the toads, and the snakes, and the lizards… budding herpetologist here.)
3) It was just such a gorgeous day to spend together hanging out with critters!

Having a very PROGGY Sunday night spin.
Triad is Spontaneous Combustion’s first record, & the only one I’ve ever heard, and I always forget that I even have this record. I’m usually not down with THIS kind of prog, but on this, I don’t find the dominant keyboards & guitars THAT annoying. Which cannot be said for a lot of this kind of #prog .
Once I get through this tonight, I’ll more than likely forget I have it again until the next time I listen to it.
Not spectacular, but enjoyable enough.

A Holiday is where you find it.
We live next to a golf course. I offer up the following anecdotal data to anyone with interest.
On this Mother's Day morning, we've watched about 5 to 7 parties of four golfers move along the course. We've seen exactly zero women in those parties.
I don't think this is a flattering testimonial for men no matter which way you look at it. 
Happy Mother's Day to all the awesome moms out there. Happy Mother's Day especially to the ones who read that and thought "Pfff, I might be a mom, but I did a shit job of it and my kids suck." You did fine, we love you too.
My mom is considering annuals this year, since planting perennials seems too optimistic for the current state of the country. I thought I would make a meme. Enjoy.

@Paxil She used to send me in to try and buy her Kotex with foodstamps. I can still remember the snickering from the people in back of me when the cashier would say, "Oh! No Honey! Go back and tell your mom you can't buy Kotex with foodstamps." #HappyMothersDay LOLOLOL!
Our neighbours had another calf born last night, and that brings the current total to 11 this spring. They are expecting 5 more.... technically, the cows are expecting, and our neighbours are anticipating.
@Paxil Chainsmoked. Usually whatever was cheapest. We were welfare, Reagan Cheese, FoodStamp poor. That was the good times compared to being homeless living in the back of my dad's Ford pickup under a tarp and squatting in abandoned ranch and farm houses. My late little biker brother, who lived in Boebert's district and died 3 Easters ago, thought she was giving blowjobs to the liquor and convenience store clerks for her hooch and smokes. #HappyMothersDay LOLOLOL!

@Suzdal92 Thank you. She was a RAGING, EVANGELICAL, ALCOHOLIC, DIVORCED MOTHER OF 3, I was the #AdultInTheRoom and took care of her, my late brother, and my little sister. She used to bring home guys from the bars. I would usually end up calling the sheriff and the ambulance to mop up the wreckage. I think it is a mark of maturity that I no longer want to piss on her grave. #HappyMothersDay!!!!
