Am super excited, there's going to be a harp concert in Dunedin on the 23rd of March with Úna Ní Fhlannagáin.
And just as exciting, I'm signing up for a harp workshop with her
Happy to share that I’ve just been notified that two of my albums, "Medievalisms" and "Japanese Sea Musics", are now also available on the French version of Apple Music! (Hopefully, my first album, "HomeStrung" will also be added soon.)

Let me know what you think!
"Wat blijft komt nooit terug." -Jan Eijkelboom
"What remains never comes back." I love how this sentence teases me. My thoughts are meandering. It makes me think about far distances. Wanting to go places, the freedom to fly and experience life and then come back down to earth... imagine! How I love poetry!

Dreaming my upcoming #art project... visioning a short film, an album inspired by #nature, the living mountain / my inner mountain, texts, (free) improvisation, collabs with diverse musicians, and a record label. As a #harpist in a #landscape I shall bring my 32strings from the Lowlands to the #Highlands. Next time in Scotland we shall travel to the North where i shall experience the #poetry of the trailblazing Nan Shepherd.

Question for any #harpist out there: how do you interpret slurs in a #harp part?
For example, if you see a melody or arpeggio spanning a few octaves in a bar or two, and it's obviously one single gesture, do you play it differently if it's under a slur than if it isn't? Which do you prefer to see?
I've noticed I'm not at all consistent about this in my scoring, which makes it look like I want different things when that's not necessarily so.
So I just signed on here and thought I do an #introduction . I’m not completely new to the Fediverse but to this instance
So hi, I am Morgan, 40 years, non-binary, queer leftist.
I am a Norse pagan witch also interested in Celtic paganism/druidry but not very knowledgeable yet
I grew up Buddhist oh and I take a lot from that belief as well.
I am a trance worker (I don’t like the term shaman, or shamanic practitioner for myself): crystal enthusiast, sound, healer, artist and I am interested in many things
I would love to get to know other pagans and witches, especially from Germany, where I live

This food court just played My Heart Will Go On and are now playing You're Still The One I Want, and aside from the justified shout out to Canadian white female artists I am completely transported to the late 1990's, when I arranged both tunes for harp, violin, and viola and played them incessantly by request at a steady stream of weddings in the summers of 98, 99, and 2000. An odd kind of nostalgia, indeed.
Dunno who needed to hear that but I needed to say it.
