Kristijan Conkas (M0NKC)<p>When temporarily operating abroad, some years back on <a href="https://mastodon.radio/tags/HF" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HF</span></a> it used to be common to spell "/" as a "stroke". On several occasions I operated on <a href="https://mastodon.radio/tags/hamradio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hamradio</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.radio/tags/satellites" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>satellites</span></a> and used this form too but it seemed to me to cause some confusion. I sometimes hear on air this symbol being pronounced as a "slash" (and, in one memorable instance, the operator did not pronounce it at all, simply gave the country prefix followed by their call sign). How do you spell the "/" when operating abroad?</p>
