Before Cyclone Alfred, I packed up a lot of the blacksmithing area downstairs to avoid various bits and pieces becoming projectiles in the predicted winds. Since it's quite damp today, I figured it was a good time to put everything back in order and forge out a simple starter project to get back in the swing of things.

Two positions

One of my moth box visitors last night was a SCALLOPED HOOK-TIP.

Here we have:

1) the position he was found in, the tented position, gripping to the outside edge of the moth box

2) on the ground, wings open and extended (and scurrying, hence some blurring)

Coat rack replacement project has begun. This is the first of hopefully six very similar hooks. The first picture shows the starting stock next to it.

Nearly 10 years ago I made this #blanket for my then teenaged son. He was the world's greatest #Minecraft fan at that time (of course).

The biggest challenge was finding a yarn that was available in in three different shades of blue and gray and four shades of green. Additionally I wanted a DK weight and acrylic. Stylecraft DK worked out.

Size is about 1.5 m x 2 m.
