Especially if the social media you're using is not yours (like your own fedi server). <br><br>Do save your pages/ files/ texts on your computer too, not just on the server your site/ blog lives on, so they don't vanish should the host server vanish.<br><br>Don't be afraid of shouting into the void at first. Enjoy the process of finding out what you would like to do with your site. People will find you if you want that!<br>Not ready to publish to the world? Play with the site on your computer first. cliffle<p>Alright -- I occasionally get bursts of traffic from some sort of crawler running in Google's public cloud IP blocks. Its distinctive feature:</p><p>It appears to contain a bug that appends ampersand (&amp;) to some URLs.</p><p>It looks like a lot of web servers _silently accept this_ so they probably didn't notice their bug. My server does not...but since it's just this one crawler I'm not inclined to "fix" it.</p><p>Anyone else seeing this?</p><p>(Edited: it's Google, not Microsoft.
