I think I found how to survive the big city. First go to Dougie's chippie, then put car on to charge, feed dog and self. Excellent
Singin' In The Rain
Eden Court Theatre, #Inverness.
29/3/25
Fabulous production of SITR from the amateur company, Inverness Musical Theatre. Saturday night was the final night, and it was a handful of seats short of a full-house.
The production was very faithful to the 1952 movie of the same name. Both the singing and the dancing was of a very high calibre, and one could tell the cast were enjoying the experience, too.
This little blue beauty is the Leyland Lion LT5B, built in August 1934. It was powered by one of the first 6-cylinder 8.6-litre diesel engines and in 1947, it was re-bodied by Burlingham.
Operated by Alexander & Sons limited as fleet number P169, it serviced the Glasgow to Inverness route in the first 10 years of service.
P169 is part of the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust collection at Bridgeton Bus Garage.
Isn't she a beauty? Click photo to enlarge.

@cbcnews this should be compulsory. The days of people who travel by car and bicycle making decisions for transit users should be long forgotten.

Voices3
Freewheelin'
Just Sing & Kinloss Peace Singers
Inverness Cathedral, 9/3/25
A capella harmonies with 4 different choirs. The concert started with Voices3, the three singers were joined by 6 more to form Freewheelin'. Finally, 2 further choirs, Just Sing & Kinloss Peace Singers joined, to make the full ensemble.
Songs included: Clear Blue Morning, Down In The River To Pray, Finlandia, & Here Comes The Sun. The last was my favourite.
Great concert.
Newton of Petty, a Clava Cairn east of #Inverness, was excavated in 75 & 76 and; ‘large quantities of crushed cremated bone were found in a matrix of sooty soil in the central area of the cairn’ #TombTuesday

Red Squirrel
Plenty of dates available in March for photography workshops with these charismatic creatures, in the Highlands Of Scotland (near Inverness).
See my website for details for these and workshops with mountain hares, crested tits and more.
The Glenmoriston Hotel is a great venue for a small gig. It has very posh surroundings, has an interesting dinner menu, (last night) there was a respectful audience who wanted to listen to the music, AND table service for the drinks. If only every gig could be like that.
Ardersier in February
#Ardersier near #Inverness in #Scotland #photography #BirdPhotogaphy
My folks moved to Ardersier many moons ago, I had no idea what an Ardersier was until I visited way back in 1989!!!!! I took a road trip on my m'bike, from Lee-on-the-Solent and what a road trip that was, loved it. Anyway, Ardersier is a coastal village not far from Inverness with a shoreline walk of just over a mile to
