Have you ever tried knitting double brioche?
I'm knitting a hat for my son, Folke, using the double brioche stitch. This technique creates a ribbed fabric that is incredibly squishy and thick. It's also surprisingly easy to knit!
I'm using two colors that are very close in hue, which I love because they create a subtle color effect—almost like a shadow.
The yarn is DropsAir and DropsKidSilk
I can't wait to see how it turns out!

The gradient on this colourwork is wonderful! This is what I was hoping the previous one would turn out like :D
After musing "live" on my YouTube vlog about making bags to put Xmas gifts in this year, I decided I would give it a go - it's a great way to use up my yarns and practice colourwork!
I had hoped I could get a better colour change on this yarn as it's a variegated one, and I love how it can look with colourwork!

I bought the two sizes of circular needles from Cruella's for $18.50 each (
), compared to the wool which was $6, and has already had use on my beanie. The needles do feel nice though, at least they aren't cheap plastic ones.
Knitting in a circle feels significantly different from knitting straight rows, and that's compounded by how small they are. For scale, it only just wraps around my wrist!
