I am fully happy with having #lightmode everywhere but my #fff bg may be a bit much. Anyone else rocking bright colors? What is your palette?

I don't know what it is, but in the past few years I've gone the reverse of everything dark mode to everything light mode or full color mode.
I finally did it for #discord and it looks so strange to me. It looks almost not modern if that makes sense.

When I started in computing, all screens were "Dark Mode" (mostly green on black VDUs).
It was a readability revolution for most of us when modern screens appeared which supported 'paper-white' (black-on-white) screens. These worked well for the last couple of decades(?).
I'm still astonished that anybody wants to go back to the dark mode.
I'm a fan of #DarkMode as much as the next person: but when reading light on dark text for a while, and then looking up, does anyone else get ghostly lines on their vision for a little while? For actually reading longer text I find #LightMode much better.
When using #gnome Light Style, I've been enabling the Light Shell #extension for quite a while now and have gotten so used to it that Gnome's default dark #shell in conjunction with the Light Style setting just feels broken to me now.

How to tell the @defcon info site is made by hackers: it doesn't work in light mode.

Dziś postanowiłem przetestować funkcję #Boost, czyli edycję wyglądu strony. Dzięki opcji usuwania elementów, mogłem się pozbyć rozpraszaczy z #Facebook, a także odświeżyłem #Allegro.
Natchnęło mnie także do edycji @svmetasearch - na początku zaplanowałem sobie wygląd wyszukiwarki (dzięki opcji modyfikacji CSS), a potem posiłkując się wprowadzonymi zmianami wraz z pomocą @slavistapl stworzyłem zupełnie nowy wygląd dla #SVMetaSearch, który jest już dostępny w wersji produkcyjnej. Nie ukrywam, że trochę wzorowałem się #Quklook, natomiast myślę, że teraz wygląda dużo świeżej i, dzięki zmniejszonemu kontrastowi, mniej męczy oczy.

Excellent work on a holistic light mode for GNOME. Currently GNOME has a dark mode and a “mixed mode” and the “mixed mode” is used when the light colour scheme is active. If that sounds inconsistent, that’s because it is.

#libreOffice's theming support is so incredibly clunky! I'm sure there's lots of flexibility for people who want unusual configurations, but in 7.4, I can't find any straightforward "light mode-dark mode" toggle, or anything similar; there are several items that have to be reconfigured in different places in the UI. I don't have time for this; I have plenty of other office suite options. C'mon, we can do better here.
