Interesting new paper on community forest governance and forest benefits (carbon, biodiversity, livelihoods). What I like is that they don't assume the benefits can be seen in isolation and that different forests provide different mixes of these benefits. Finally, the look at the odds that particular forms of governance are associated with particular forest types.

NatureCommunity forest governance and synergies among carbon, biodiversity and livelihoods - Nature Climate ChangeForest restoration is emerging as a key climate mitigation strategy. In this study, the authors find that formalized local control and substantive involvement in rule-making are associated with synergies for carbon sequestration, biodiversity and rural livelihoods.
