Au sortir de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, le dessinateur de génie s’inspire de la modernisation fulgurante de son pays pour créer des univers futuristes, teintés d’une douceur enfantine qu’il puise dans sa propre jeunesse. Son dessin, aussi simple qu’il est virtuose, engendre des chefs-d’œuvre tels qu’Astro, le petit robot ou Princesse Saphir, alors que le genre de l’anime explose. Osamu Tezuka laisse derrière lui quelque cent soixante-dix mille planches de dessins et soixante films d’animations, témoins de sa révolution picturale.

Unerwartetes Leseerlebnis: Mir kam der #Manga zu Yu-Gi-Oh in die Hände, Band 1 der Massiv-Ausgabe. Nun wusste ich schon, dass die Vorlage nicht genau wie die im deutschen Fernsehen gezeigte Serie ist. Die Geschichte war dann aber doch sehr anders:
Das bekannte Kartenspiel kommt fast nicht vor. Stattdessen geht es episodenweise um Konflikte der Schülergruppe um Protagonist Yugi, meist um Mobbing, Betrüger oder Jugendbanden. Yugi verwandelt sich dann bei Konfrontation des Gegners in die aus seinem Milleniumspuzzle stammenden, erwachseneren Geist. Dieser zieht den Gegner in ein "dunkles Spiel", das dieser verliert und bestraft wird. Das Spiel ist immer ein anderes, je mit Bezug zum Konflikt.
Also eine Art episodenhafter (seichter) Horror-Thriller. Auch nicht schlecht gemacht und ganz kurzweilig. Interessant auch zu sehen, wie sich der Zeichenstil und die Designs in den ersten Kapiteln noch wandeln. #Yugioh

New Read - Delicious in Dungeon, Volume 1

Okay, volume 1 sold me. It sold me hard.

Basic premise is that a band of fantasy adventurers get through a dungeon, only to be so hungry that they cannot fight against a red dragon and one of their compatriots is swallowed whole by the dragon.

So, after regrouping, they decide to go back. But, like they need to eat along the way.

Enter Meshi. Meshi helps teach them how to cook monster they find in the dungeons and it's so much fun.

Glad I picked this up. Looking forward rto more.

Aside from #MamoroOshii more or less teasing a 3rd #GhostInTheShell #movie, we've also got a teaser for the new #AnimeSeries by #ScienceSaru! (That was in production for some time but that I completely forgot about until now. 😅)
I LOVE how the style is very strongly inspired by the original #manga by #MasamuneShirow - I love the 1995 movie, but what REALLY got me into the fandom was the manga, so I'm actually very excited about this! 😃

Abgesehen davon, dass Mamoro Oshii mehr oder weniger einen 3. Ghost in the Shell #Film angeteasert hat, haben wir auch einen Teaser für die neue #Animeserie von Science Saru bekommen! (Die schon länger in Produktion war, die ich aber überhaupt nicht mehr auf dem Schirm hatte. 😅)
Ich LIEBE, wie sich der Style sehr eng an dem Original-Manga von Masamune Shirow orientiert - ich liebe den 1995-Film, aber so wirklich, WIRKLICH ins Fandom eingestiegen bin ich mit dem Manga, also bin ich tatsächlich sehr gespannt darauf! 😃
