Did you know that egg shells can survive a 12 hour kiln firing session with temperatures tipping over 2230 degrees Fahrenheit (approx 1220 degrees Celsius)?!?! Well, I definitely didn't expect that one

I had dipped an egg shell in porcelain thinking I would just have a very thin egg-shaped porcelain piece after the kiln firing. Instead, there are actual eggshell remnants which is absolutely amazing!

Had a great time at the 2023 Taiwan-Guam Austronesian International Art Exhibition held at the Hyatt Regency Guam this weekend. It was sponsored by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office of Guam in conjunction with the 112th Taiwan National Day celebration and it was an absolutely lovely affair!
Crotons are such a beautiful colorful ornamental that are used extensively in Florida landscapes where a pop of color is desired. These were photographed in a neighbor’s yard and have had a painterly finish applied.
