I've been thinking about getting a #mechanicalkeyboard and was looking at the Ajazz brand, I know they're cheap compared to some out there but I want to try something out before committing fully.

Does anyone have experience with these or have a good suggestion? Happy to go with wired if necessary and it'll be on macos if that makes a difference.

Ich will mehr Ergonomie beim Schreiben. Also eine 100% Tastatur mit allen Tasten, links und rechts. Kein Fn Kram, keine Kotpilot Taste, keine halben Tasten, etc. Ich will mechanische Tasten, keine wie am Laptop. Aber ich will den geringen Hub, brauche keine Registrierkasse.

Muss ich das komplett selbst löten oder kann man das für einen normalen Preis kaufen?

#followerpower, wer hat hier Ahnung: ich habe seit mehr als 5 Jahren eine #Keychron K8 G3 ISO. Ich mag sie gerne, aber die Optik der Tastenkappen nervt mich, die nutzen sich ab, sind auch schon getauscht und sehen trotzdem wieder ranzig aus. Neue Kappen von Keychron sind deshalb eher keine Option. Würden andere passen, insbesondere ENTER? Was wäre da empfehlenswert? Oder müsste es dazu eher ein anderes #Keyboard werden?

Ahoi... ich habe hier noch ein paar Keychron Gateron Silent Red Switches liegen.

Da sie 3 Pin sind, sind sie für jede mechanische Hot-Swap Tastatur geeignet und sie haben eine "Operating Force" von 45gf +- 15gf. (Keine Ahnung wie ich das sonst nennen soll... will sagen: sie lösen ziemlich schnell aus)

Bei mir waren sie nur knapp eine Woche im Einsatz, da ich mit den linearen Switches leider nicht so ganz warm geworden bin.
Seit dem liegen sie fein verpackt in der Schublade und suchen nun ein neues Zuhause.

Yay, finally made a custom #mechanicalkeyboard!... and it tiny lol

Visually it's still very WIP, but the function's all there (everything mentioned in the legends works). I'll be daily-driving this for a while, see how it feels and think about a final look for it.

The outer case is definitely getting redone, but the keycaps feel pretty final aside from how I'll handle the legends, engraved instead of... well, sharpie I guess.

Look what DHL just delivered: a case for the extra PCB that was waiting to be put to good use.
