@lemonde Isn't it about time the real #reason behind the #war in #Ukraine? The giant, #top-secret #underground #American #military #base conveniently built near #Ukraine’s old #army #complex. The one loaded with #directed #energy #weapons, #acoustic #cannons, and enough tech to #mess with #Kremlin — and pretty much all of #Northern #Europe. And let’s face it, even the #Pope isn’t hiding it anymore, now that the #Church's #spiritual #power has gone #offline like a #Vatican Wi-Fi outage 😉.

There is something very particular in living a tri-lingual life, it's that I'm often confused in which language to take personal notes.

For work it's easy, mostly in English. About my kid it's mostly in German. And French everywhere in between. My calendar events are a mess, my bookmarks are a mess, my contacts are a mess.

This is ok till I need to look for something specific, because if I look for the word in the wrong language I won't find anything.

PSA: Do not trust AI #translators.

We recently published an article in German in which we mentioned Amazon.de. Someone apparently used an AI translator to translate the text into English, and the #AI changed Amazon.de to Amazon.co.uk.

The human didn't notice that he was being confused and posted something about UK online, which other people started opining on.

What a #mess.

So far I’ve had to remove all my ‘Big Camera Photo Project’ albums from my phone & as well as phone photos / videos / screenshots etc…and don’t see a usable function for Apple Photos App. 🤯😤

If anyone has a SIMPLE none Cloud photo organiser app recommendation I’m all ears!

I stayed late today to burn the binder out of all the hand pulled tubes I coated. Tomorrow I shall make a pretty doodle and (hopefully) see some fruits of my labour.

Fingers crossed for good shades of brown and pink light- a paradox I enjoy.

I have been noticing phosphor drips around the studio now. At first I was freaked out thinking they may release phosphor into the air- but they really just act like white paint. I cannot kick them up or scuff them.

Not sure if I should be laughing or terrified that my messes now glow pretty colors under a germicidal bulb?

Gosh- just look at that pink stripe! Some of my glassblower friends back their tubes with white glass. Sure that makes it look nice when its off... but I prefer the white backing to come from a glowing phosphor powder!

Sooo excited for tomorrow!

VERY excited for that pink. Slightly scared and mystified that my wiping the phosphor off my glove on the table actually glows :)
A deep brown tube- so dense with color that it looks black. Exactly how I want it! The warm white phosphor inside will be very bright and be filtered by the densely colored glass. Yellow rubber kitchen glove for safety- that tube is still dripping liquid phosphor suspension.

Evening accomplishment: I conquered the cable spaghetti that had grown up around and behind the computer-cum-technology-pile since the last time I cleaned it up.

I realize all power and data cables reproduce, but how do they do it when both ends are already plugged into something? 🤔 ⁉️

You might remember after Christmas I had a second webcam up to watch the snowman. The connection wasn't waterproof and it shorted in the wet.

I fixed the camera's cable today! I clipped off the end, figured out the RJ45 wiring, and attached it in a watertight adapter. Success!

This will be Camera #2 - "Alberniweather West". The hardware should be ready to go on the roof tomorrow so I am working on the camera configs tonight.

A closeup of the RJ45 connector. Usually these connectors have 8 internal wires for data and power. The Amcrest cameras only use 6 wires in a non-standard pattern (White-Orange, Orange, White-Green, Blue, blank, Green, Brown, blank)
The camera is sitting on a brown wood table. Its' white wire snakes into a large black plastic housing. Out if the housing snakes a blue cable which is much longer and messily goes to the other side of the table where it plugs into a small network switch with lights lit. In the middle of the table in front of the wires is a disassembled coupler housing. You can see the two end parts on each side that protects the cable ends, and a middle part that is a dual female-female RJ45 port

Haven't updated the blog in awhile. Aside from being extremely busy at home and work lately there has also been this coming together.... 📷 📷 📷 . 😊

Waiting for a final part to come tomorrow and it should be ready to go up on the roof this week!

Hope to have the three individual streams active this weekend and the combined panorama in the next couple weeks once I do the work on the software side.
