This is in the western part of the Michigan UP. One year I drove as close as I could get, hiked from there, waded chest deep to cross the West Fork of the Sleeping River and then went for a balmy swim in the lake.</p><p>The bay is relatively shallow and has a hard sand bottom. When there is an onshore breeze the warm surface water is pushed into the bay. I could have played in the water all afternoon.<br><a href="https://m.ai6yr.org/tags/LakeSuperior" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LakeSuperior</span></a> <a href="https://m.ai6yr.org/tags/Michigan" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Michigan</span></a> <a href="https://m.ai6yr.org/tags/MichiganUP" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MichiganUP</span></a></p>
