#fixedrate #account has a larger % #AER for #monthly over #annual #interest #payments. It doesn't appear to be #compound (with the monthly #interest going back into the #account) as you specify a different account for it to be #paid into. #Customerservice couldn't give me a reason.
I know it doesn't really matter but it is a #puzzle and I'd like the #solution.

blog.douchi.space · 关我辟事 Vol.9：强制重启赶着新年第一期和我自己工作喜提中年人第一次裁员的大变化，觉得是个 hard reset 的好时机，干脆把写了半年多的《玩物志》月报也来个强制大重启： 更名：“玩物志”更名为“关我辟事”。我本就有个“关我屁事”的文身是去年差不多这时候给自己的告诫，要叫刊名总觉得要稍微文雅些，强行取个谐音，本想去癖好的癖，又觉得总有点偏邪 niche 少了玩物不丧志的本意，遂强行简化取个开辟（新的兴趣爱好），鞭辟入里（自己的想法生活）之意，辛字部又跟我的椒字呼应，展开来又是“关于我开辟嗜好的琐事”，也挺好。这回总不会有重名的了吧。 月刊改为双周报。前几期动辄六七千字，读者看起来不方便，我写起来也费劲，甚至好多书影的短评都得折叠起来，信息流失率太高了。现在有更多的空余时间，索性试试改成双周刊，英文也从 monthly 改成了 digest，方便以后随时调整，内容更少更好读。 读者们更喜欢月刊一次看大部头的形式还是双周刊 bite size 更及时易读呢？此外，月刊里的不同板块（物、逛、书影游等）大家最喜欢哪个？欢迎留言。 如果想单独订阅本双周刊的 RSS，可以使用单独的地址: https://blog.douchi.space/tags/关我辟事/index.xml

@FabOnABike @sinabhfuil Same thing happened to me with #Monthly (now called Studio). I enrolled for Monthly Plus at the introductory rate ($79 I think?) and when it auto-renewed without warning me, it was $249. They never refunded my money (it was in the ToS) and later dropped the program altogether and there is no trace of it on their website. I'm still peeved about it.

@siv @shojiwax agree. Though I use #Tusky which doesn't appear to have a payment process but I'm open to being directed to such a thing.

I do pay my instance however, but once again it's more of a donation than a cast in stone #requirement.

So many folks are using #Mastodon now and it seems to me that the ppl doing the work should be #reimbursed for their costs #technically (hardware, services etc), as well as for the work they must either put in themselves or get #volunteers to do for them, which isn't always 💯% effective as evidenced by some instances where a user gets their arse kicked for a #spelling error seen by one #moderator as death for the user and by another on the same instance as ho hum not worth a thought.

I only #donate $8 per #month which in real terms is nothing, but in terms of the value we derive from the #platform as users can be life changing for an #instance manager, if enough ppl say I really want this to continue, so I will donate the equiv of a cup of #coffee for example and do so #monthly.
