No, hold on, it is a person. They'll catch their death out there! It's so cold. Wait, those "Missing" posters around the neighbourhood for that kid - What if it's him? You have to go out and check. God, it's been days, he might be hurt! You walk briskly towards the street lamp. The air is freezing. You get closer "Hey! Are you okay?" "Hello! Do you need any help?". The figure turns towards you. You can do that in code, manipulating sys.path, as long as you do it before trying to import from those modules. But it's messy and kind of brittle.</p><p>Instead, have that search path set before starting your tests or application. Use the PYTHONPATH environment variable to do this from whatever tooling or config you use to run your tests or app. If you're using a virtual environment -- and you should -- whatever tool you're using to set it up may do this for you.
