I'm pretty stoked, and don't think this is a mid-life-crisis or a means of coping with a home relocation and divorce.

I'm planning very soon to get hoop earrings in both ears, and to get a stud below my lip since I can't grow a "soul patch". I'm also thinking of getting some more visible arm tattoos besides the one on each upper arm. I'm actually fascinated by sleeves, but with my pain levels and health issues, I don't know if I can actually do it.

I have one pierced ear from when I was 19, but it was in the "wrong" ear (I'm gay). Since then, I worked for a long time in the corporate world, where I couldn't wear it.

I've already found a business in Fort Collins, CO that does both services, and found artists for both desired activities where their prior work vibed with me.

Now that I have reached my goal of 10mm in my septum, I am left thinking "Dare I go bigger? Was my goal not ambitious enough? Dare I go to 12mm? Where does the madness end???"
