I tried to migrate my #pixelfed account a few weeks ago and lost all of my forty something followers in the process. That was frustrating, but I had other things on my mind and there was nothing I could do about it.

Today, curiosity got the better of me and I gave it another try (I didn't have any more followers to lose anyway and YOLO) and took a look at the source. WTF! How can one implement such a critical feature with so little (in other words: no) error handling?
