As I was setting up many apps etc. on my new phone, it appears that I severed relationships with pixelfed.social for some reason.
It means I have lost followers from pixelfed.social. I can't find any way to restore it.
If you have followed me, and if you like to follow me again, please do so. But pixelfed.social users may not even see this message. Oh well...

ich möchte gerne von pixelfed.social zu photofed.world umziehen (weil ersterer einfach zu riesig ist). weiß wer ob es möglich ist die bilder zu exportieren und mit zur neuen instanz zu nehmen? hab dazu nichts online gefunden.

Tried 3x to sign into my pixelfed.social account and every time I get "no such profile exists" so, because of this and the fact that when I try to get help, I get the response that "this email address doesn't exist " even though I still have the confirmation email sent to me from 2023, and all pertinent information, I still can't sign in. SO, I WILL now be abandoning this account and hopefully find something better. Sorry to all of those who are following me there

Estoy en #pixelfedsocial y ando buscando gente en instancias como #Luzeed o pixelfed.eus.

Lo que me parece raro es que si veo los perfiles de usuario en su instancia, me aparecen varias fotos. Pero si veo ese mismo perfil desde mi cuenta de pixelfed.social, me aparece una o ninguna.

¿es esto normal?

You can definitely feel the stress that the influx of users are putting onto Pixelfed.social here the last few days.

While the site isn't unusable, it's considerably slower than it was prior to this huge influx of new users.

I've had my account there since the day I created it, and I have no plans to move it to a smaller instance as of right now. That might change if things get worse, though I don't think @dansup will let that happen if he can avoid it.

It's good to see this influx of users though. Means the platform is growing, Pixelfed is getting some much needed attention and users are finding a new place to call home.

I can log into https://pixelfed.social with no problems, but if I try to authorize the Android pixelfed app, I get cloudflare error 520.

Does anyone have suggested fixes?

Further info:

I am using the duckduckgo browser on a Samsung Android phone. I've tried running via Wi-Fi, and via cellular connection with no difference.

If I "clear all tabs and data", I can get a working connection to the server again, but as soon as I try to authorize the app again, the error crops up.

My guess is that there's something in the authorization message that cloudflare doesn't like, but I don't know enough to troubleshoot from here.

Edit: I have resolved the issue. I set my default browser to Chrome and was able to authorize the pixelfed app.

Does anyone know why my pixelfed.social profile isn't showing the vast majority of thumbnails from posts I've imported from #Instagram ? I can see them if I'm signed into the web version, but if I'm signed out or using an app like PixelDroid or Tusky and it's just white squares

I've deleted them and reimported, but it's just the same. Anyone ideas?
