Bramble says “Farewell to Tocktober.” Sorry, but you’ll have to take my word regarding the magnificence of his long, super plush, deep black tail.

In other news, Bramble and Benny survived Halloween. ( They live right inside the front door.) We’re known as the bunny house, so some of the children (and parents) came into see them. One correctly identified Benny as gray. 🐇

Bunnies will never not make me laugh. Now that Bramble and Benny are best friends, they are living together. But we still have to feed them separately. Bramble kind of understood I wanted him to come out when I said “picnic,” but he wouldn’t be sure.

I needed to solve another problem, too. Bramble drools when he eats his greens. Enter the Terrible Towel which BunDad bought a long time ago in a fit of fervent American football fandom…

Long story short, now, as soon as I unfold the bright yellow towel, Bramble sits by his door to get out and Benny zooms around in his house 💛

Not sure if this cute little rabbit has a name, but his maker is Tomio Okayama, a local artist who makes anthropomorphic animals. Fun fact: he was there, just off-camera. He's often on-site during the Setouchi Triennale (his art that's part of the festival is in Yashima, but he's had art on Takamijima for as long as I've been familiar to the island)
