On Sept 1 of the same year, #Pope #LeoXIV entered the novitiate of the Order of Saint Augustine (OSA) in #SaintLouis, in the Province of Our Lady of Good Counsel of Chicago, & made his first profession on September 2, 1978. On August 29, 1981, he made his solemn vows.
He received his theological education at the Catholic Theological Union in #Chicago. At the age of 27, he was sent by his superiors to #Rome to study Canon Law at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum).

"A new crash report from Trailnet found that 23 pedestrians in the city and 36 in the county were killed last year. That’s a 187% increase for the city and 24% increase for the county. The report emphasized that many of the crashes in the region are isolated to certain roads including: Grand, Kingshighway, Broadway, Gravios, Lindbergh, Halls Ferry, Manchester and Big Bend."

Being in Saint Louis for work and to visit friends, I also checked off another 'new to me' National Park, Gateway Arch.
The view from 630' high in the sky with nothing below you is one of a kind for sure.
