Just so we're clear:
When I was a #SEAL deployed to #Afghanistan, we did not treat suspected #IED manufacturers this poorly.
This is #fascism. In America. Never normalize this. Never.

Can recommend taking a boat trip from Morston to see the seals at Blakeney Point although I'm concerned they are hassled by a constant stream of tourist boats. We spent the wait for departure last Thursday thinking up ways to be stupid and settled on applauding and making noises and clapping our hands like flippers to thank the crew at the end of the trip, but we bottled it. #seal #norfolk
About this time last week off Blakeney Point in Norfolk with thirty other people on a seal watching trip. #norfolk #seal #pinnipeds #BlakeneyPoint

Obviously, be careful around wild animals. You can hurt them even if you don’t think you are.

Évidemment, soyez prudent autour d’animaux sauvages. Vous pouvez leur nuire même si vous ne pensez pas que vous le faites.

Another quiet week around here, so going back to last month's visit to the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge for today's shots.
(Cross-posted from my site, where there are additional photos. Of seals! https://andrewflenniken.com/2025/06/27/june-27th-2025-a-seal-lightly-different-angle/)
One of the things I love about that place is the view of Rainier you get when you're out on the boardwalk over the tidal flats. On a good day it looms over the intervening hills in dramatic fashion, reflected in the water. Which, I think, makes for a great shot from an angle you don't often get to see.
And then looking in the other direction, at Nisqually river, you are sometimes graced with a couple of seals playing in the water. Great stuff to see in every direction down there. :)
