It's a big shrub not a small tree. I'm tempted to sneak back to the first toot and whistle casually while changing the hashtag from #Trees to #Shrubs before running off. But that would be misusing the spirit of Mastodon's Edit function. My ignorance shall stand. (I did throw in 'Perhaps it's a bush?' in the AltText but that may be even worse: I knew I might be wrong but didn't bother to check.)

We had another visit to #shrub vegan restaurant in Chester on Friday. Cannot recommend enough. We’ve been a couple of times now & planning to go again. Quite far away from where we live to be a favourite but whenever we get a chance…..

Mountain Rose and Berries by Debra Martz by Debra Martz
This bush was growing by the start of the Salmon Run Trail at Heron Lake State Park in northern New Mexico. There will be no more flowers at the end of summer, but the berries (hips) remain throughout winter and attract wildlife.
