The article reminds me of a question I had. Shouldn’t Signal suspend the accounts of the Signalgate participants?
From Signal’s terms of service:
“Legal and Acceptable Use. You agree to use our Services only for legal, authorized, and acceptable purposes.”
It seems like planning a war crime would not be acceptable use.
Avoiding US laws regarding the preservation of government records is also a crime.

I have love/hate relation with #signal. On one hand, there is no real alternative. On the other, there is no open api. There are good clients of Mastodon for evey platform (dos, windows9x, emacs, apple os 1, amiga, commodore) but for signal I am stuck with their crappy one.

Hey, can anyone please explain to me like the apparent simpleton I am, how to fix #Signal notifications back to how they were?
Im using an android, and usually get a notification in my ... would you call it a drop down menu? Pull-down space? That is good. I like that. Little icon on the top of the screen telling me to check messages.
I think it's from an update or something, I don't remember changing any settings, but now I get an annoying bubble thing on my screen that will obscure what I'm doing. I can use the pull down menu and access the message like usual, but the Bible doesn't disappear. I've gone and fiddled with all the settings that seem linked to this, to no avail.
I'm sure it's irrational on my end, but it just comes across as so rude to me, I really hate these floating bubbles, much and all as I love signal as an app, this is a deal dealer for me.
