Welcome to Scotland - the home of golf, but not as you know it!
Is Glasgow the only place where you'll find a sign like this on community football pitches?

Bike of the day from the clown show.
Always loved this sign on a noticeboard in Glasgow's Botanic Gardens, both because it reads like a poster for a 1950s B-movie, and because whoever made it clearly had a lot of fun with Photoshop while doing so!

Signs I spotted today on a pair of first floor windows on opposite sides of Carnarvon Street in the Woodlands area of Glasgow. I love that people would choose to communicate in this way!
A view of a mountain in the Southern Alps on September 15 2024. Snow persists at its peak for days now even on the sunny side and there's a possibility of further snowfall in the coming days. The white blob between local hilltops and the mountain is a distant mountain range deeper into Alps that's entirely covered in fresh snow. I was seeking refreshment from intense heat in a 28°C Adriatic Sea mere 80mi away at the beginning of this week. Now, I'm unmothballing my winter wardrobe. This. Is. Not. Normal!
Love these signs which have been popping up around Glasgow lately.
"And every Native American knew—whether he believed the story or not—that this was a powerful omen, and that great changes were coming." [Albert Hosteen (Floyd “Red Crow” Westerman) in Paper Clip episode of The X Files]
I've just read this article in the #Guardian
https://www.theguardian.com/music/article/2024/may/22/phone-kids-losing-their-love-for-music
What do you think, is this tech related, or isn't music deemed important anymore today by the general public?
I'd love to read your opinion about this.

Move along. Nothing to see here.
Every now and then I come across a road sign which raises more questions than it answers. This is one such sign I spotted today in Bowling just to the west of Glasgow.
Our previous science director Katrine Krogh Andersen (now science lead at Copenhagen University), launching the joint Danish, Greenlandic and Faeroese Changing Arctic meeting in the Black Diamond in Copenhagen..
Katrine was previously an ice core scientist at the Niels Bohr Institute before she took the leadership route.
