A corporate shuttle (maybe #Stripe’s?) crashed into a car and a house around the corner from us this AM. No one was hurt but a lot of folks walk down that sidewalk going to school and work everyday.

A black Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van has crashed into the corner of a light blue building. The van’s front right side is heavily damaged, with the bumper detached, the wheel pushed inward at an angle, and pieces of debris scattered on the sidewalk. A tree with green leaves partially covers the right side of the van. A gray sedan is parked adjacent to the van on the right, with minor visible damage to its rear side. The sidewalk appears slightly tilted, and there’s a parking sign in the background. A sticker inside the windshield of the van reads “Glen Park.”
The same black Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van is shown from a wider angle. It has mounted the sidewalk and collided with the corner of a light blue residential building, partially blocking a teal garage door. The front right side is severely crushed, exposing the wheel well and suspension. The metal stop sign post in the foreground is leaning, likely impacted by the van. FUCK, I just learned #Stripe is owned by Musk, Thiel, and a bunch of other Nazis.

Oh, right, it's a privately-owned company by the brothers who formed Stripe in SFO in 2010. Except they took s TON of Nazi cash in 2011 and turned it up to 11. And moved HQ to Ireland.

I can't imagine those libtards* gave Stripe money for nothing but the good of Stripe.

So, just wondering: what is a decent European alternative for payment handling like #Stripe? (It must support both single payments and monthly subscriptions.)

I've been out of the loop and I am sure there are people with experience here.

Preferably one with a matured API (and a Python library would be a nice bonus).

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I legitimately do not understand how other people deal with #Stripe I had to explain to them 5 times now that,

1. I am a writer.

2. I publish things on my blog, some premium, but most, open access.

3. I publish exclusive newsletters via email where people get charged when I send an email, #Patreon style.

And every single time, they can't figure me out or what I do. I guess my stuff has to be behind a hard paywall for them to get it? Trouble is, places like Liberapay and Comradery use them so I can't just throw up my hands and say, whatever.

These are their requests, in order.

1. Could you explain the nature of your business? Your blog isn't behind a pay wall.

2. Could you explain accessibility consulting? This isn't in our recognized list of services provided.

3. Could you explain your charity status?

I never claimed to be a charity so this last one baffles me.

I really do wanna scream. How hard is it to comprehend my accessibility tutorials? Ugh!
