Testing the Q2 monochrom at the moment. This monument (Friedland Heimkehrer-Denkmal) is a great subject for black and white, but I feel the photo's missing something.
Hung around quite a while, hoping for a bird or a plane (or Superman) to enter the frame, but no luck this time. Still a nice, minimalist image.

The latest scene from the #superman movie shows #krypto jumping on him multiple times while he's in serious pain. While funny, THAT IS A TERRIBLY TRAINED DOG! People fear large #dogs because so few people properly train them, making sure they are a basically a weapon that can go off at any time. Now give them #kryptonian strength that can kill any human at the slightest whim and you've got a VERY irresponsible pet owner. #dog
I cannot know for sure how good the upcoming 'Superman' will be, or how it will compare to the legacy of the Donner / Reeve films, but I both respect and appreciate how heavily into Krypto the Superdog the marketing has been leaning.
I also don't think I've ever related more to Superman in my life, because having an overenthusiastic dog, completely oblivious to its own weight, playfully jump and land full force on your back while you're lying face down, is definitely an experience. Admitting to some extreme personal bias, I love how they gave Krypto this happy chaotic goblin energy, he is still the goodest boy.

I've never before had any interest in anything related to Superman; I occasionally read the comics as kid, and watched, and did not like, the first two movies.
Now, after watching the first two trailers for the new movie, I am interested more than I've ever been for a Superman movie.
When he whistled in the first trailer, I reflexively and happily exclaimed, "Krypto!", and seeing the silly pup jumping all over the badly wounded Supe, I winced and laughed.
Today's the birthday of Superman's foe from the Fifth Dimension, Mr. Mxyzptlk.

Das mit großem Abstand wichtigste an Superman bleibt ja der Gegner. Geschichte egal, Hauptdarsteller egal, aber Bösewicht muss was her machen!
Und Kevin Spacey erfüllt das exakt! Lex Luthor ist große Teile des Filmes deutlich sympathischer als #Superman selbst, um dann problemlos den Schwenk zum megalomanischen Monster, das Milliarden Menschen töten will, zu meistern.
Leider ist der ganze Rest der Darsteller dann doch nicht ganz irrelevant - und Lois Lane ist ja noch bestenfalls erträglich (wenn man Teri Hatcher im Kopf hat, aber erbärmlich im Vergleich). Sonst geht der Rest aber geschlossen als Fehlgriff durch. (Allen vorran Brandon Routh)
Story ist okay-ish, Effekte sind halt Mitte 2000er und erträglich gealtert.
